Renovation of the Public Area in front of the Church
The project of the renovation of the Public Area in front of the Church was approved by the Prague City Hall Heritage Department in September 2019. It includes barrier-free access, restoration of the staircase and balustrades, building visitor centre and public toilets and preparatory work for the future accessibility of the crypt.
The architect Josef Pleskot designed the barrier-free access and the entrance to the room under the terrace in a way that preserves the beautiful view of the front of the church with the three staircases will remain practically unchanged. Read more about the project…
The renovation will be carried out in 2020-21. The preparatory work on project documentation and survey of the paving and balustrades are being carried out now, in November 2019 the archaeological research will begin. The church will remain open during the renovation.
