The Night of Churches – June 9, 2017

On Friday, June 9 many churches in prague will stay open until late Night of Churches. The visitors can explore the sites and participate in a wide range of activities.
What can you experience at the Church of Infant Jesus of Prague? The program in the church will run from 7 pm until midnigt.

Person and the space

Thousands of people from all over the world walk on the floor of the church of the Infant Jesus of Prague every year. You may also enter. Let yourselves be touched by the place and co-create it together with other visitors. Explore various ways in which the space of the church can talk to you. Dip yourselves in the colors and leave your trace in the church.

Moulding

The bells, statues, reliefs, candlesticks… many objects we meet in the church have been created by melding. In an unique moment the liquid metal becomes a form which has been growing in the mind of the artist for long. Explore the magic of the art and craft of moulding.

In the workshop led by the craftsman and artist Petr Rýgr behind the altar of the church of the Infant Jesus you can not only look into the art of moulding but also try it yourselves and create.

Organ

Every hour (at 7, 8 , 9, 10 and 11 pm) you can listen to several pieces of organ music
