Museum of the Infant Jesus of Prague

The Museum of the Infant Jesus of Prague presents a selection of the statue’s historical robes as well as garments from all over the world. Visitors can also see nativity scenes from various countries. The entrance to the museum is located inside the church, to the right of the main altar.
The museum introduces the tradition of dressing the statue of the Infant Jesus. You can see historical robes as well as garments donated by people from many countries. The exhibition includes:

  • A robe donated by Empress Maria Theresa
  • A robe donated by the writer Paulo Coelho
  • The crown donated by Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to the church in 2009
  • The historical rococo-style crown of the Infant Jesus
  • Robes from South Korea, the Philippines, Italy, Poland, and other countries
  • Photographs documenting the dressing of the statue
  • Life-size photographs of the statue wearing robes of various liturgical colours
  • An exhibition of nativity scenes from different countries

Opening hours

Mon–Sat: 9:30 am – 5:00 pm

Sunday: 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

The museum opens each morning after Mass.

Closed on 25 December and Good Friday.

On 26 December, 1 January, and Easter Monday we are open from 1:00 to 6:00 pm.

The entrance to the museum is inside the church, on the right side near the main altar.

Access is via a spiral staircase.
